Purchase Executive

Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct audits, and maintain stock records.
  • Supervise and guide a small team handling purchase requests.
  • Coordinate with departments to fulfill procurement requirements.
  • Maintain accurate purchase records, bills, and contracts.
  • Prepare monthly reports and cost analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional policies and statutory norms.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or relevant field.
  • 3–8 years of experience in procurement/purchasing (institutional/educational setup preferred).
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; ERP knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to supervise a small team and work independently.
