Job Description

Position

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Procurement:

Handle procurement of engineering spares, machinery, and technical equipment from European suppliers.
Float inquiries, prepare comparative statements, and finalize orders as per company norms.
Negotiate commercial terms, payment conditions, and lead times.

Vendor Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with international vendors and OEMs.
Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
Coordinate with vendors for order tracking, dispatch, and documentation.

Import Coordination:

Liaise with freight forwarders, CHA, and import documentation teams for shipments.
Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely clearance.

Documentation & Compliance:

Prepare and maintain purchase orders, contracts, and vendor records in SAP or ERP system.
Ensure compliance with import/export and company procurement policies.

Cost & Process Optimization:

Work closely with the engineering and projects team for technical evaluation.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements in procurement.

Proven experience in
engineering or project-based purchase
(preferably for Europe region).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of
import procedures, incoterms, and vendor documentation
.
Proficiency in
SAP
and
MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, MIS reports)
.
Understanding of
technical drawings and specifications
is preferred.
