We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement & Import Officer to manage the sourcing and importation of solar equipment and materials. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end procurement processes, from vendor selection and price negotiation to order placement and customs clearance, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of solar products.
Key responsibilities include identifying reliable global and local suppliers for solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and related components; managing purchase orders; and ensuring all import documentation complies with local and international regulations. The officer will also track shipments, coordinate with freight forwarders and customs agents, and maintain optimal inventory levels to support project timelines.Candidates must have solid knowledge of international trade practices, Incoterms, and customs procedures specific to solar equipment. Familiarity with solar technology, industry standards, and supply chain dynamics is highly desirable. Experience using ERP systems and procurement tools is essential.
Relevant degree in Supply Chain/Business/ International Trade or certifications like CIPS or CPSM and knowledge of import/export regulations
