Art Alinda’s publishing arm produces insightful works on art and history that draw from its archival collections and creative research efforts. Known for its commitment to preserving cultural narratives, it has published notable titles such as Engraved Epic Early Bengal Prints Of Ramayana, Mythological Oil Paintings: 19th & Early 20th Century of Bengal among others. With a deep interest in visual storytelling, Art Alinda combines scholarship with design to bring historical texts, artworks, and rare archives to a wider audience.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct in-depth research on art history, with a focus on archival materials, books, journals, and other credible sources.
• Verify facts, dates, names, events, and sources across historical texts, essays, and other content to ensure accuracy.
• Compile and maintain proper citations, footnotes, and bibliographies for all research materials.
• Assist the editorial team by providing contextual background and supporting materials for publications.
• Proofread drafts for historical accuracy, coherence, and clarity.
• Work closely with writers, curators, and designers to ensure researched content is seamlessly integrated into final outputs.
• Translate literary content from Bengali to English with clarity, sensitivity, and precision.

What We’re Looking For:

• Master’s degree in English/ History/Asian Studies, or a related field
• Strong research and fact-checking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Familiarity with academic citation styles (MLA)
• Ability to read and interpret historical/archival materials
• Basic proficiency in Bengali
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Genuine interest in Indian Art history and cultural research
• Excellent command over written English with strong translation and editing skills
• Experience working with literary or academic texts
• Strong attention to detail and respect for linguistic and cultural accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
