Job Title: Public Relations Officer (PRO)

Location:

Reports To: Hospital Director / Marketing Manager / Administrator

Department: Public Relations / Marketing / Patient Services

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Objective: To build, maintain, and enhance the hospitals public image and communication with patients, media, community, and stakeholders.

The PRO is responsible for promoting Ayurvedic services, managing internal and external communication, and ensuring a positive perception of the hospital and its wellness values.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient & Visitor Coordination:

Greet and assist VIPs, media guests, or external stakeholders visiting the hospital.

Facilitate smooth patient experiences, especially for high-profile or international clients. Address patient concerns or escalations with tact and professionalism.

2. Communication & Branding:

Draft and manage internal communications, press releases, newsletters, and social media content aligned with Ayurvedic and wellness messaging.

Develop patient education materials on Ayurvedic therapies, seasonal regimens, and health tips.

Ensure consistency in brand tone and visual identity in all communications.

3. Media Relations:

Coordinate with local and national media for coverage of hospital events, expert interviews, and community wellness initiatives.

Organize press meets, interviews, and media kits as needed.

Monitor media coverage and maintain press archives.

4. Community Outreach & Events:

Represent the hospital at wellness fairs, Ayurveda awareness drives, and community camps. Plan and support Ayurvedic health talks, guest lectures, and seasonal therapy campaigns. Liaise with local societies, corporates, and schools for outreach programs.

5. Online & Social Media Presence:

Support digital marketing team in managing hospitals social media handles.

Promote success stories, testimonials, and wellness content in line with Ayurvedic principles.

6. Administrative & Liaison Work:

Coordinate with government health departments, AYUSH bodies, and licensing authorities when required.

Maintain good rapport with referring doctors, corporates, wellness influencers, and partners.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing, or related fields.

Diploma/Certificate in Ayurveda or Healthcare Communication (preferred)

Experience: 2–5 years of experience in PR, preferably in a hospital, clinic, wellness center, or Ayurvedic brand.

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and local language.

Understanding of Ayurvedic philosophy, treatments, and terminology.

Media handling, event planning, and stakeholder relationship skills.

Familiarity with digital platforms, MS Office, and content tools.

Personal Attributes:

Warm, polished, and presentable.

Patient and culturally sensitive communication style.

High emotional intelligence and conflict resolution skills.

Passion for wellness, Ayurveda, and holistic health.
