Public Address System Technical Lead

As a Public Address (PA) System Technical Lead with 6-9 years of experience, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of a PA system to ensure smooth operation and integration with other systems. Your role will involve overseeing the system's architecture, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as guiding and mentoring technical staff. Your key responsibilities will include the design and implementation of the technical architecture for the PA system, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You will also be responsible for managing the selection, installation, configuration, and maintenance of PA system software and hardware, such as amplifiers, speakers, microphones, and control systems. Additionally, you will need to ensure seamless integration of the PA system with other audio-visual systems, networking infrastructure, and control systems. In case of technical issues, you will be required to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently, including audio issues, network connectivity problems, and software malfunctions. Documenting system configurations, procedures, and best practices will be part of your responsibilities, along with providing training to technical staff on operating and maintaining the PA system. As a technical leader, you will guide and mentor your team, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement. Furthermore, you will work with vendors to evaluate, select, and procure PA system components, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality. Monitoring the performance of the PA system, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to optimize system operation will also be essential. To excel in this role, you should have a strong understanding of PA systems, audio engineering principles, networking, and software development. Your problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, communication skills, and project management experience will also be crucial. Additionally, familiarity with various PA system manufacturers and technologies, mentoring junior staff, and proficiency in relevant software development tools and technologies are desirable qualifications.
