As a psychologist at Peoples University, Bhopal, your role will involve providing compassionate and skilled counseling services to students, conducting psychological assessments, and implementing intervention strategies to address various mental health concerns. Your expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) will be crucial in supporting students through personal, academic, and emotional challenges. Key Responsibilities: - Provide individual and group counseling services to students, assisting them in navigating personal, academic, and emotional difficulties. - Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify students" mental health needs. - Design and implement effective intervention strategies, such as CBT or REBT, for students dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and other mental health issues. - Maintain confidential records of counseling sessions in accordance with ethical standards and university policies. - Collaborate closely with faculty, academic advisors, and student affairs personnel to ensure students receive comprehensive support. - Facilitate workshops and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, and emotional well-being for students and staff. - Respond to urgent psychological crises and provide necessary interventions. - Stay updated on current psychological research, therapeutic approaches, and university policies related to student well-being. - Provide psychoeducation to students on mental health topics, coping strategies, and self-care techniques. Qualifications: - Education: Masters degree in Psychology (MA in Psychology) from a recognized institution. - Experience: 2-5 years of counseling or clinical psychology experience, preferably in a university or educational setting. - Certifications: Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) is highly preferred. Skills: - Strong clinical skills in individual and group counseling. - Proficiency in psychological assessment techniques and diagnostic evaluations. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. - Capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
