Psychological Counsellor

We're Hiring: Psychological Counselor
Location: Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Kolhapur, Maharashtra

Sanjay Ghodawat International School is seeking a qualified and empathetic Psychological Counselor to support the mental, emotional, and social well-being of our students.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with school-age children and adolescents, providing individual and group counseling, and promoting a positive and inclusive school environment. Your role will be central in helping students navigate academic stress, emotional challenges, peer relationships, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students
• Address emotional, behavioral, academic, and social challenges
• Conduct workshops on mental health, stress management, and wellbeing
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and leadership to support student welfare
• Maintain confidential records and adhere to ethical guidelines
• Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution when necessary

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Clinical/School Psychology preferred)
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a school counselor or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development
• Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English; regional language proficiency is a plus
