Description and Requirements

Position Summary:
As a Content Manager – Proposals in our Solutions & Services Group, you will be responsible for crafting compelling proposal content that showcases our expertise, solutions, and value proposition in the IT Services domain. You will work closely with the assigned Deal Engagement Manager and wider pursuit team to gather information and develop proposals that address client needs and requirements.

The successful candidate will excel at developing compelling, customer-specific value propositions and translating complex solution themes into clear, persuasive narratives. This role is critical to elevating the quality, consistency, and impact of our strategic proposals. A strong grounding in storyboarding techniques, structured thinking, and narrative flow is essential.

Responsibilities
Customer Value Proposition
  • Collaborate with the assigned Deal Engagement Manager and wider pursuit team to understand and document client requirements and win themes.
  • Lead storyboarding sessions with pursuit teams to structure the proposal storyline, define win themes, and ensure a logical, engaging narrative arc across all sections.
  • Craft tailored messaging that addresses the customer’s strategic priorities, pain points, and desired outcomes, grounded in research, discovery inputs, and solution insights.
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive content that effectively communicates our company's capabilities, solutions, and value proposition.
  • Ensure that proposals are well-organized, formatted professionally, and free of errors or inconsistencies.

Research & Analysis
  • Conduct research on client context, industry vertical, market trends, and competitor offerings to gather relevant information for proposal development.
  • Analyze RFP documents thoroughly to identify key requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission instructions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical details, case studies, and other supporting materials for inclusion in proposals.

Time Management & Coordination
  • Manage the proposal development process from initiation to submission, coordinating inputs from various stakeholders and ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Create and maintain proposal schedules, outlining key milestones, deliverables, and responsibilities for each team member.
  • Prioritize and allocate resources effectively to meet multiple proposal deadlines simultaneously.

Quality Assurance
  • Review and edit proposal content for clarity, consistency, and compliance with RFP requirements.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks to ensure that proposals are error-free, well-written, and visually appealing.
  • Solicit feedback from internal stakeholders and incorporate revisions as needed to improve proposal quality.

Knowledge Management
  • Maintain a repository of proposal content, templates, and best practices for future reference and reuse.
  • Continuously update and refine proposal content based on feedback, lessons learned, and changes in market dynamics.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to enhance proposal content and messaging.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in business, project management or a related field. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Proven experience in proposal writing, preferably in the IT services or technology industry.
  • Deep storyboarding expertise, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Experience in managing and tracking multiple time-phased activities.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and technically accurate content.
  • Familiarity with proposal management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), graphic design and/or desktop publishing an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work as part of a global team which may require engaging across distances, cultures,
  • and time zones in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Familiarity with RFP processes and procurement procedures in the public and private sectors is a plus.
  • APMP Practitioner Certification or possession of skill set and experience to acquire certification required.
  • 6+ years of progressive sales focused business experience in the information technology sector.
