Name:Open PositionJob Title: Proposal Engineer Department/Group: Proposal Job Code/ Req#: PE-004 Location: Pune, India Travel Required: Limited Hire Date: Immediate Position Type: Full time Job Summary: Reporting organizationally to the Proposal Manager, the candidate will support the Insides Sales & Project Management team based in various domestic and international locations. Duties/Responsibilities: Review of technical specifications, inquiry documents, technical evaluation of inquiries and preparation of cost estimates. Prepare thermal-mechanical design for heat exchangers and pressure vessels using design programs. Follow and maintain a library of application-based templates for budgetary bids with a goal to generate budgetary bids quickly. Support the Project Manager on technical clarification and bid updates. Work closely with proposal team to meet bid due dates and assist in order finalization. Assist in completing Vendor Surveys for Customers, Customer Database Management and Supplier development activities. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in one of the following disciplines Mechanical, Chemical, or Process engineering. 3+ years of work experience in either engineering design, fabrication, or proposals. Experience in an equipment fabrication environment is an advantage. Understanding of Engineering Standards - ASME, TEMA, API, BS/ EN, DIN, BIS Software Skills: Experience in one or more of the following design programs - PVELITE, AUTOCAD, Process design software Aspen, HTRI. MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point Fully Proficient. Experience with electronic document management systems. Experience using ERP systems is an advantage. Skills and Abilities Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required. Organizational and time management skills. Willingness to support technical teams in other time zones as needed. Ability to follow Company Policies & Procedures.
