Job Title: Proposal Design Engineer
Location: Calicut
Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹40,000 (Based on Experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Proposal Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in structural design, proposal preparation, and project estimation within the steel construction or EPC industry. This role involves preparing technical proposals, design calculations, and material specifications in line with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review design proposals, technical drawings, and calculations for steel structures.
• Work on project estimation, costing, and tendering documentation.
• Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (AISC, BS, IS, Eurocodes).
• Collaborate with sales, project, and execution teams to provide technical inputs during bidding and proposal stages.
• Develop material specifications, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and cost estimates.
• Provide value engineering solutions to optimize design and cost.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors for technical clarifications.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design software and industry best practices.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering.
• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Experience:
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in proposal/design engineering in steel construction or EPC companies.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (AISC, BS, IS, Eurocodes).
• Proficiency in design and detailing software: STAAD Pro, Tekla, AutoCAD, SAP2000.
• Ability to prepare technical drawings, structural calculations, and specifications.
• Good understanding of project costing, estimation, and tendering processes.
