Proposal design engineer

As a Proposal Design Engineer at our company located in Calicut, you will play a crucial role in our team by utilizing your expertise in structural design, proposal preparation, and project estimation within the steel construction or EPC industry. Your responsibilities will include preparing technical proposals, design calculations, and material specifications in accordance with international standards. Your key tasks will involve preparing and reviewing design proposals, technical drawings, and calculations for steel structures. Additionally, you will work on project estimation, costing, and tendering documentation while ensuring compliance with international codes and standards such as AISC, BS, IS, and Eurocodes. Collaboration with sales, project, and execution teams to offer technical inputs during bidding and proposal stages will be essential. To excel in this role, you are required to hold a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering and ideally a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering. You should have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in proposal/design engineering within steel construction or EPC companies. Proficiency in design and detailing software like STAAD Pro, Tekla, AutoCAD, and SAP2000 is necessary. Moreover, strong knowledge of international codes and standards, the ability to prepare technical drawings, structural calculations, and specifications, and a good understanding of project costing, estimation, and tendering processes are essential. Your success in this position will be driven by your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and your capacity to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple proposals effectively. A proactive approach and being a team player will also be key competencies that will contribute to your effectiveness in this role. This is a full-time position with a salary range of 30,000-40,000 based on experience.,
