Key Responsibilities: - Technically assess property treaty accounts utilizing natural catastrophe models and statistical tools. - Price programs and negotiate terms and conditions with the client management team to ensure underwriting excellence. - Actively engage in dialogues with internal and external experts, supporting cross-functional projects and conducting market research. - Explore new business ideas and non-traditional products like weather/catastrophe triggers and private-public partnerships for product development. - Provide consultation to clients, identify pain points, and leverage growth opportunities. - Support client management team in technical aspects during negotiations with clients and brokers. Qualifications Required: - University degree in natural/computer science, mathematics/statistics, engineering, economics, finance, or relevant insurance qualifications. - Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in treaty (re)insurance, preferred with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in programming is considered advantageous. - Market knowledge in India re/insurance, keen interest in catastrophe insurance, and a desire for career growth in treaty underwriting are essential. - Soft skills like team-oriented attitude, strong work ethics, ability to work under tight timelines, curiosity, self-motivation for skill development, relationship management, and entrepreneurship are highly valued. - Proficiency in English and a willingness to travel are also required.
