Project Planning & Management

As a Project Planning & Management professional at Tata Communications Transformation Services (TCTS) located in Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai, your role involves the following responsibilities: - Establishing clearly defined objectives & deliverables, building executable project plans, and leading projects to completion on time, within Scope, Schedule, and Cost targets (managing triple constraint), to deliver results that meet/exceed customer expectations. - Providing clear, crisp written and verbal communications for work instructions, customer updates, status report dashboards, negotiations, and issue management. - Following PMI PMP 9 knowledge areas and executing within the project plan: Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Communications, Risk, and Procurement Management. - Understanding customer requirements, dealing with difficult/sensitive situations, conflict resolution, and building partnership relations with support groups and customers. - Utilizing project management methodology and tools (such as Microsoft Project Professional, Visio, Lotus Smart Suite, etc) to define, plan, deliver, and communicate results. - Being fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills. - Having knowledge of communication and networking technologies, technical data product knowledge in managed router service, IP MPLS, SDH, and DWDM/OTN technologies. - Experience in telecom projects particularly roll-out migration of services in Ethernet and IP/MPLS (legacy to new platform). - Working independently with minimal supervision in a non-structured environment. - Possessing interpersonal skills to collaborate with other departments/subsidiaries and clients to develop timelines for project deliverables and set proper expectations. - Applying project management principles and the ability to learn and apply new knowledge and project management expertise to the needs of the business. - Demonstrating strong organizational skills, ability to quickly assimilate knowledge from outside own area of expertise, multi-tasking, action-oriented, decision-making. - Having the ability to handle a large volume of work items to ensure nothing is overlooked, skill, and proficiency in many project management and data network engineering functions. - Being flexible, analytical, stress-resistant, able to work under pressure, work in an autonomous fashion, handle multiple projects concurrently, and work with telecommunications carriers.
