  MS Project or Primavera (P6)

• Industry Preference:

  Chemical, Petrochemical, Fertilizers, Oil & Gas, or Refinery

General Duties and Responsibilities:

The Project Planner is responsible for maintaining the health and accuracy of the project timeline and providing critical analysis to management

.

1. Schedule Development and Maintenance

• Maintain, and update project master schedules using MS Project or Primavera (P6).
• Define project activities, durations, dependencies, and milestones with input from the project team, operations, vendors, and contractors.
• Align schedule with project scope, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and resource availability.

2. Progress Tracking and Reporting

• Track actual progress against baseline schedules.
• Identify variances, delays, or risks in schedule performance.
• Update schedules with real progress data and forecast future timelines.
• Generate schedule performance reports (e.g., earned value analysis, S-curves, progress charts).
• Highlight critical path activities, risks, and potential bottlenecks.
• Provide management with accurate forecasted completion dates.

3. Collaboration and Risk Management

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams.
• Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on critical paths, priorities, and deadlines.
• Provide schedule visibility to management and team members.
• Identify and assess schedule risks.
• Model "what-if" scenarios for delays, scope changes, or resource constraints.
