Project Manager Cinema Projects

Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of cinema development projects, including new setups, renovations, and technology upgrades. This role involves coordination with consultants, architects, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective execution while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities / KRAs

1. Consultant Appointment & Budgeting

• Identify and appoint consultants with expertise in cinema projects within approved budgets.
  
• Ensure alignment of project scope and deliverables with management expectations.
  

2. Project Execution & Monitoring

• Oversee execution of projects from initiation to completion, including site supervision, technology installations, and renovation works.
  
• Prepare prefeasibility reports, conduct property surveys, and recommend necessary modifications.
  

3. Design & Tender Review

• Review all tender BOQs and drawings (Interior, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, ELV systems) with architects and consultants.
  
• Suggest design alterations or improvements based on project requirements.
  
• Verify and approve GFC drawings before execution.
  

4. Project Planning & Coordination

• Develop workflow charts and work breakdown structures to define timelines and dependencies.
  
• Coordinate with procurement for timely material and contractor arrangements.
  
• Oversee installation of sound systems, projection setups, and other cinema-specific equipment.
  

5. Progress Tracking & Reporting

• Conduct project kick-off meetings and monitor daily progress.
  
• Prepare and submit weekly project status reports to management.
  

6. Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety and fire regulations at all project sites.
  
• Conduct site inspections and review material test reports and installation certifications.
  
• Implement quality control measures to maintain project standards.
  

7. Project Closure

• Oversee snag list resolution before project completion and support post-completion follow-ups.
  
• Ensure smooth handover of documents and as-built drawings to the Operations team.
  

8. Team Leadership & Training

• Mentor and train the project engineering team on project processes and progress plans.
  
• Identify skill gaps and implement training programs for continuous improvement.
  

9. Cross-functional Support

• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams for periodic repairs and support requirements.
  
• Align project team goals with organizational objectives and policies.
  

10. Stakeholder & Resource Management

• Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Manage project budgets and resources effectively to achieve defined targets.
