Description
As an Assistant Manager in Supply Chain & Procurement (SCM Projects & Coordination) at our company, you will play a crucial role in driving procurement projects, coordinating functions, and ensuring supply chain efficiency. Your responsibilities will include: - **Project Management & Execution:** - Lead end-to-end SCM projects such as sourcing, procurement, vendor development, and process optimization. - Build structured project plans, track milestones, and ensure timely delivery. - Proactively anticipate risks, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure accountability for faster execution. - Maintain dashboards and trackers for project progress, timelines, and deliverables. - **Stakeholder Management:** - Act as a liaison between SCM and cross-functional teams (Production, Logistics, Finance, Commercial). - Drive alignment on project goals for smooth cross-departmental coordination. - Develop strong relationships with suppliers for timely procurement and quality compliance. - Effectively manage escalations and provide timely updates to leadership. - **Procurement Operations & Vendor Management:** - Oversee daily procurement operations to ensure material and services availability. - Support supplier evaluation, negotiations, and contract management. - Monitor vendor performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions. - **Process Improvement & Strategy:** - Identify supply chain inefficiencies and propose process improvements. - Support cost optimization initiatives while upholding quality and reliability. - Contribute to strategic procurement planning and long-term supplier development. - **Data & Reporting:** - Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership. - Track procurement costs, supplier performance, and project outcomes for decision-making. - Utilize data-driven insights to highlight risks, exceptions, and improvement opportunities. **Qualifications:** - Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain / Operations. MBA or Diploma in Supply Chain/Procurement is a plus. - 4+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or vendor management, preferably in project-driven roles. - Proven expertise in project management and stakeholder management. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets. - Exposure to ERP systems and procurement tools (SAP, Oracle, Zoho, etc.) is preferred. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills. - High ownership mindset: proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
