Project Manager Software Development

As a Software Development professional, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of projects by coordinating resources, managing communication, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Obtaining and documenting business requirements, translating them into user stories and system requirements for Software Development and Testing Teams. - Defining and documenting project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. - Preparing high-level design documentation based on provided business requirements. - Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution. - Ensuring resource availability and allocation are managed efficiently. - Hosting project meetings at least once per week for each project under your direction. - Developing and maintaining detailed project plans with milestones, critical paths, and timelines to track progress. - Ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within scope. - Developing and maintaining project-related communication documents such as progress reports, proposals, and presentations. - Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders. - Using verification techniques to measure project performance and manage changes in scope and schedule. - Troubleshooting problems that arise during projects. - Reporting to management, taking direction, and escalating issues as needed. - Ensuring quality controls through verification and testing. - Participating in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enhance the organization's capabilities. Qualifications required for this role include: - 10+ years of experience in software development or design. - 6+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity. - Solid technical background with an understanding of software development methodologies. - Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Exceptional leadership skills. - Solid organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities. - Ability to work creatively and analytically in a team-oriented environment. - Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, both large and small. - PMP certification would be advantageous.
