Job Description

As an experienced Project Manager in the automotive stamping industry, your role will involve leading and managing the end-to-end automation and commissioning of high-tonnage tandem press lines. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading and managing automation and commissioning for press lines, with a focus on NC cushion configuration and press synchronization. - Programming, integrating, and troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems using Siemens and Beckhoff platforms. - Configuring NC cushion force profiles, travel curves, and timing parameters to meet forming and die protection requirements. - Coordinating with OEMs, contractors, and internal teams for FAT, SAT, and full production handovers. - Interfacing with press line automation components and ensuring compliance with safety standards. - Delivering detailed documentation, commissioning logs, and training packages for in-house teams. - Collaborating with tooling, quality, and maintenance departments for process optimization. - Acting as the site lead for technical troubleshooting during installation and launch phases. To be successful in this role, you should have: - A degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Engineering. - 15+ years of experience in the automotive stamping industry, specifically with 2000+ ton tandem press lines. - Expertise in Siemens and Beckhoff systems, as well as NC cushion setup and troubleshooting. - Direct experience with JIER press lines is advantageous. - Skills in interpreting electrical schematics, safety logic diagrams, and press system architecture. - Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional team management abilities. - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for on-site support during commissioning phases. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with robotic press automation, experience with other press OEMs, and knowledge of SCADA integration and predictive maintenance practices. This field-intensive role will require you to work on press shop floors and around industrial machinery, sometimes during extended hours and travel for equipment launches and global support.,
