Project Manager Plastic Processing

Manufacturing and Planning:

• Production Scheduling, manufacturing management
• Plan production to meet purchase orders issued by customers aligned to expected dispatch dates
• Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs.
• Keep sufficient stock of all required raw material and packing material
• Generate and share daily /weekly and monthly MIS
• Creating optimal processes and plans for production, quality control, preventive maintenance and workforce training.
• Plan efficient material flow from inward to semi finished goods to finished goods and finally dispatch

New product development:

• Supporting New Product Development. Mainly getting the molds made working with various mold makers.
• Ensure product molds are made technically accurate to give the desired product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Control costs and get high efficiency and long life tools made for all products.
• Candidate may travel abroad for mould selection, machine feasibility etc

Quality Control:

• Set and monitor product standards, examining samples of raw products or directing testing during processing, to ensure finished products are of prescribed quality.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, and other operational reports, to detect production problems
• Ensure zero defect production by strict quality control

Facility Upkeep and Maintenance

• Coordinate and recommend procedures for facility and equipment maintenance or modification, including the replacement of machines.
• Responsible for negotiations with vendors, production SOPs, safety of plant machinery and personnel.

Manpower Management:

• Keep sufficient labor at the unit keeping relationship with multiple contractors. Negotiate labor cost and review their invoices on monthly basis.
• Keep labor compliance up to date for all inhouse and contracted labor working at the unit.
• Hire and maintain sufficient staffing for the plant to fully operate
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personnel grievances

Desired Candidate profile:

• Knowledge and experience of Injection Moulding and Assembly Line handling experience
• Should possess Leadership Qualities
• Should be Dynamic and Multi-Functional as they would need to handle multiple facets of the manufacturing process
