Job Description

As Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Project Planning & Control

  • Prepare and manage project schedules, construction programs, resource deployment and daily/weekly execution plans.
  • Monitor schedule adherence, critical paths, productivity, and risk areas; implement recovery plans.

• Ensure alignment with DPRs, drawings, standards, and contractual deliverables.

Execution & Technical Quality

• Lead on-ground execution of all works (earthwork, structures, pavements, utilities).

• Ensure compliance with MoRTH, IRC, NHAI and project specifications.

• Enforce QA/QC processes, inspection test plans, laboratory controls, and NCR reductions.

Cost, Budget & Contracts Management

• Manage project budgets, cost control, BOQ compliance, and productivity KPIs.

• Review and certify subcontractor/vendor bills; support client billing and measurement books.

• Support contract administrationvariations, claims, extensions, and documentation.

Safety, Compliance & Governance

• Enforce Zero Harm culture; ensure adherence to EKK EHS standards.

• Conduct toolbox talks, site audits, incident investigations, and safety reporting.

• Ensure statutory, environmental, labour and regulatory compliance at the site.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Lead site engineers, supervisors, survey, quality, safety and administrative teams.

• Mentor staff, allocate responsibilities, and ensure accountability.

• Maintain coordination with procurement, design, finance, HR, and head office teams.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the single point of contact for client/consultant interactions.

• Participate in progress review meetings and ensure transparent communications.

• Maintain strong working relationships with authorities, vendors and local stakeholders.

IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR THIS ROLE – YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech.); M.Tech/M.E. preferred.
  • 10–15 years’ experience in executing highway/road/infrastructure EPC projects.
  • Proven track record handling NHAI/PWD/state highway projects.
  • Strong knowledge of MoRTH/IRC codes, project controls, billing, QA/QC, and contracts.
  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary site teams in complex operational environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera preferred.

  • Demonstrate leadership, discipline, and strong decision-making under pressure.
  • Be data-driven—using schedules, dashboards, and site MIS for managing outcomes.
  • Balance strategic planning with on-ground problem solving.
  • Build trust and communication with clients, consultants, and site teams.
  • Uphold safety, quality, ethics, and compliance at all times.
  • Be flexible for deployment across multiple EKK project locations.

KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS

  • Schedule adherence (SPI), cost performance (CPI), productivity KPIs.
  • Quality parameters—NCR reduction, rework minimization, lab test compliance.
  • Safety performance—Zero fatalities; LTIFR/TRIR improvement; audit scores.
  • Monthly/quarterly milestone achievements as per contract.
  • Timely billing, MB submission, and collection cycle improvements.
  • Team capability development and retention at project site.
