Job Description

As a Manager Project Integrity and Finance Strategy for Nature-Based Carbon Credit Projects, your role involves strategic oversight of project finances, compliance with registry standards and customer contracts, prevention of fraud, safeguarding of assets, and ensuring data integrity. You will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Field Audits On-Ground Validation: - Travel extensively to project locations for physical verification. - Conduct field inspections to validate work progress, deployed assets, and on-ground activities. - Validate beneficiary interactions, collected data, and field-level reports. - Identify cost-saving alternatives for efficient project execution. - Evaluate field operations to detect risks, inefficiencies, and cost optimization opportunities. - Process Improvement Tech Enablement: - Collaborate with the technology team to enhance project tracking, data validation, and workflow efficiency. - Translate audit findings into actionable system improvements, process controls, and monitoring enhancements. - Support the development of dashboards, standard checklists, and digital validation mechanisms. - Financial Compliance Audit: - Validate cost claims and ensure complete documentation for expenditures. - Conduct internal checks to prevent misreporting, financial irregularities, and fraud. - Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and statutory requirements. - Prepare and certify milestone documents for project progress submissions. - Reporting Stakeholder Coordination: - Prepare detailed audit reports, progress certifications, and risk assessments. - Collaborate with project, finance, and field teams to resolve audit observations. - Present findings and insights to management for decision-making. - Maintain audit independence while supporting smoother project operations. Qualifications: - CA or CMA or CIMA or Ex Armed Forces background. - Completed articleship with substantive exposure to audit functions. - 12 years post-qualification experience in Internal Audit, Cost Audit, Statutory Audit, Financial controls, or project audits. In this role, your skills and competencies should include: - Understanding customer contracts and carbon registry standards. - Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and P&L management skills. - Comfortable with extensive travel to rural locations. - Strong analytical ability and fraud detection skills. - Capability to identify risks, investigate discrepancies, and propose solutions. - Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including investor reporting for projects.,
