Project Engineer - Turbine

Role & responsibilities

Knowledge of turbine project engineering for Drive (API 611) /Power Turbines frames.

Identify the project scope of supply / work and technical/ contract requirement,

.

Prepare / Review RFQ( request for quotation) documents & technical correspondence

submitted in the proposal. Follow an established contract review procedures,

Identify & resolve discrepancies & divergences through techno-commercial queries to marketing or customer.

Checking & approving of all project drawings like foundation plan, layout drawings, PIDs, piping drawings, baseframe drawings etc, taking printouts and submission to the customer.

Obtain customer/ consultant approval of all the documents mentioned in technical document list through project execution team or marketing.

Preparation of equipment & material specs, datasheets, detail engineering calculations.

Preparing and releasing purchaser requisition/ specifications, participation in techno-commercial evaluation of vendor offers, approval of vendor documents.

Prepare /Review Project BOM for piping, Auxiliary bought out items etc, ECN through SAP.

Visit customer for kick off meeting, technical discussion, review meeting as and when required.

Inspection/ followups at vendor works with customer/ consultant, if required.

Customer & vendor communication for smooth functioning of project execution

Support to erection & commissioning team

Coordinate with different dept. for smooth functioning of project engineering.

Preparation& submission of final documents, O & M manuals

Updating drawings/ documents/ engineering data on server /Stage Gate.

Preferred candidate profile

Support for value engineering

Support to marketing in pre-tendering activities, technical discussion etc.

Support BOC vendor development activity for cost reduction.
