Job Title: DCS Service Engineer – Process Automation Location: Bangalore, India Work Model: Onsite Business Area: Energy Industries – Process Automation Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a DCS Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and executing Distributed Control System (DCS) engineering activities for service projects of low to medium complexity. You will follow standard work instructions, adhere to quality and safety standards, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be primarily responsible for: Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques and procedures to project assignments. Supporting the preparation of proposals and presentations for service engineering projects/programs. Gathering and analyzing customer requirements and documenting current processes and interfaces; designing optimized integration solutions in collaboration with business stakeholders. Creating detailed work plans and cost estimates for assigned tasks while ensuring quality deliverables are delivered on time and within budget. Providing technical support during testing, installation, and commissioning phases of projects. Understanding and managing the complete project life cycle and associated deliverables. Engaging in projects with multi-geographical and multi-cultural teams, which is considered an advantage. Qualifications and SkillsEducational Background: B.E/B.Tech in Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics & Communication (Full-time). Professional Experience: 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Process and Safety Systems, with a strong focus on: Application Engineering HMI Engineering FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) SAT (Site Acceptance Test) Technical Expertise: Sound knowledge of DCS/ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety Systems) and Safety Systems such as Fire & Gas Protection Systems and Emergency Shutdown Systems. Familiarity with the configuration of: Network switches, routers, and firewalls Field devices (HART, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus) Experience with third-party communication protocols like MODBUS and OPC. Understanding of asset optimization is an added advantage.
