Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing Motor Control Centres (MCC), Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Variable Speed Drives (VSD) panels. Proficiency in electrical load calculations, switchgear selection, and transformer calculations is essential. Experience in designing for hazardous locations and using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN P8 for creating layouts, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOM) is required. The candidate will work on global projects and collaborate with regional teams. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop Electrical Schematics and Layouts for MCC, VFD, and VSD panels using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD Electrical. Perform electrical load calculations and select appropriate switchgear and transformers. Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis to ensure designs meet specifications and standards. Design electrical systems for hazardous locations. Prepare technical documentation, including Functional Design Specifications, Test procedures, reports. Collaborate with regional teams on global projects to ensure design consistency and compliance with international standards. Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during project execution. Ensure all designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Testing of a system on the shop floor if required. Deliver & execute the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Send Project Progress Update Reports on a weekly basis to the customer. Travelling to regional Offices (across the Globe)/ Customer sites to perform Factory Acceptance test whenever required. Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve teams capabilities. Work closely with Supervisor to guarantee customer acceptance. Work with a team to clarify technical issues. Work closely with the Supervisor to achieve customer acceptance. Demonstrate application & technical expertise. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. Experience in electrical design engineering. Proficiency in designing MCC, VFD, and VSD panels. Strong knowledge of electrical load calculations, switchgear selection, and transformer calculations. Experience in designing for hazardous locations. Proficient in EPLAN P8 and AutoCAD Electrical. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on international projects. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations. Certification in electrical design or related areas.
