Electrical Engineer/Sr Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a Electrical Design Engineer to join our Aerospace Electrical Systems Design team. The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and integration of aircraft electrical systems and wiring harnesses in compliance with aerospace design standards and customer specifications. This position offers hands-on exposure to aircraft systems, electrical integration, and certification processes, along with opportunities for growth into senior design or systems engineering roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties as assigned:

• Design and develop aircraft electrical wiring systems, including harness schematics, routing, and installation drawings.
• Create and modify 2D electrical schematics and 3D harness layouts using aerospace CAD tools (CATIA V5 Electrical / AutoCAD Electrical).
• Perform electrical calculations such as wire sizing, voltage drop, and circuit protection verification.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs), connector tables, and wiring documentation
• Support system integration, ensuring compliance with aircraft power distribution architecture and safety standards.
• Participate in design reviews, design validation, and change management activities.
• Work with senior engineers to ensure designs meet aircraft certification, reliability, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams Systems, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Quality to ensure successful design delivery.
• Support design reviews, documentation updates, and change management activities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Mechanical, Systems, Manufacturing) as needed.
• Ensure designs conform to aerospace standards and customer specifications (e.g., AS50881, MIL-W-5088, DO-160
• Assist in preparation of engineering documentation, design reports, and configuration control records.
• Participate in design reviews, contributing to continuous improvement in safety and reliability.
• Assist in resolving design-related issues during installation, testing, or production phases

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (or related discipline).

• Technical Proficiency:

1. Working knowledge of electrical design tools such as CATIA V5 Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical.
2. Understanding of aircraft electrical systems (Power, Lighting, Avionics,Communication, or Utility systems).
3. Familiarity with engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and 3D models. d. Good understanding of connectors, backshells, clamps, splices, and wiring accessories. e. Knowledge of 2D/3D wiring documentation and aerospace drawing standards.

• Familiar with aircraft systems (Power Distribution, Lighting, IFE, Galley, etc.)
• Knowledge of aircraft certification requirements and documentation. (RTCA DO-160, DO-254).
• Experience with configuration management tools (ARAS, ENOVIA, or SmarTeam).
• Basic understanding of avionics communication protocols (ARINC 429, CAN, MIL-STD 1553).
• Exposure to system integration testing or troubleshooting on aircraft electrical systems.
