Job Summary

Project Coordinator

delivery at our Chennai office. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills,

hands-on experience with JIRA and creating user stories

This role involves coordinating project tasks, maintaining documentation, and ensuring smooth

collaboration across teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support & Planning

  • Assist Project Managers in preparing project plans, schedules, and timelines.
  • Break down business requirements into

    epics, user stories, and tasks

    with well-defined

acceptance criteria.

  • Ensure user stories are properly documented, prioritized, and ready for sprint execution.

JIRA Management & Tracking

  • Create and manage

    epics, user stories, sub-tasks, and sprints

    in JIRA.
  • Maintain sprint backlogs and ensure timely status updates for all tasks.
  • Generate project reports and dashboards (burndown, velocity, workload) for stakeholders.
  • Track risks, issues, and dependencies in JIRA and escalate where necessary.

Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a bridge between developers, QA, designers, and project managers.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Document and circulate minutes of meetings (MoM) with clear action items.
  • Provide regular progress updates and ensure alignment with stakeholders.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation including requirements, risk logs, and status reports.
  • Assist in preparing client presentations and project progress dashboards.• Support compliance with company processes and IT governance standards.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify risks and blockers early and document them in JIRA.
  • Coordinate with the team to ensure timely resolution and closure.
  • Escalate critical issues to the Project Manager for intervention.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 24 years of experience as a Project Coordinator (IT environment preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of JIRA

    (epics, user stories, sprints, reports, dashboards).
  • Hands-on experience in writing

    user stories and acceptance criteria

    .
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
