Job Summary:

The Project Champion is responsible for leading and coordinating production operations to meet business goals. This role involves planning, monitoring, and controlling production activities, managing manpower, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning, Monitoring & Control (30%)

• Plan and monitor production to meet monthly and annual targets.
• Ensure availability of machines, raw materials, and manpower.
• Communicate targets effectively across departments.
• Analyze MIS reports and implement corrective actions.

2. Manpower Management (10%)

• Optimize manpower deployment and shift scheduling.
• Manage team performance, leaves, OT, and appraisals.
• Promote discipline, training, and motivation among team members.

3. Quality Control (20%)

• Implement and monitor ISO quality systems.
• Define quality norms for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Address customer complaints and lead quality review meetings.

4. Safety Compliance (10%)

• Ensure a safe working environment through proactive safety measures.
• Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in safety committee meetings and ensure compliance in scrap handling.

5. Inventory Control (10%)

• Monitor and reduce non-moving and slow-moving inventory.
• Coordinate with PPC for material transfers and analyze PR/PO data.

6. Finance & Accounts Management (10%)

• Drive cost reduction through 5S and Kaizen initiatives.
• Monitor and control operational expenses (Opex).

7. Quality Management System (10%)

• Implement ISO and Six Sigma systems.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and compliance.
