Project Accountant

As a Project Accountant working in Somalia, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial management and compliance across various construction projects. Your responsibilities will include: - Coordinating between finance, procurement, and project teams to ensure timely approval and processing of transactions. - Drafting and managing official correspondence with clients, consultants, and vendors to maintain clear communication. - Assisting in budget development, forecasting, and resource allocation for multiple ongoing projects. - Reviewing contractor Bills of Quantities (BOQs), tracking labor costs, and maintaining financial control logs for site activities. - Ensuring compliance with project timelines and financial regulations by closely working with planning and cost control departments. - Participating in internal audits, donor reporting, and documentation for large-scale real estate and infrastructure projects. To be eligible for this role, you should have a minimum of 4 years of experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry. A certification, preferably ACCA, is required.
