Program Producer/ Executive

The Executive Producer (EP) at Nettv4u is accountable for formulating and implementing a comprehensive YouTube strategy for the Nettv4u YouTube channel. Your primary task will involve devising plans for the advancement and cultivation of innovative and distinctive content concepts. Collaborating with the Editor and the Executive Producer of the Original Series is crucial for this role. Your role encompasses evaluating opportunities to broaden Nettv4u's reach and influence on YouTube, while also liaising with the Head of Social Video & Publishing to establish effective publishing methodologies. Your key responsibilities will include working closely with the Editor to craft a content strategy derived from the current newsroom, focusing on identifying stories and talents that resonate across various platforms and formats. Reporting to the Editor is an integral part of your role. In addition to the above, your duties as an EP will involve: - Developing and implementing a YouTube strategy for Nettv4u, concentrating on existing channels and channel expansion. - Ensuring production standards and editing techniques that align with the Nettv4u channel, with a particular emphasis on content suitable for YouTube. - Supervising editorial schedules for each channel. - Formulating a YouTube-centric approach to current news coverage on the Nettv4u channel. - Creating and executing the Explainers strategy for the Nettv4u channel. - Collaborating with the newsroom to enhance original reporting capabilities, specifically focusing on YouTube content. - Identifying new franchises, in conjunction with the EP for Original Series, that resonate on YouTube. - Enhancing On-Camera skills. - Spotting newsroom talent for enhancing the Nettv4u channel on YouTube. - Recruiting new talents for our YouTube channels. - Working in close coordination with the Social Publishing and Audience Development team to devise audience acquisition and growth strategies. To excel in this role, you should possess: - 2+ years of experience in Journalism and/or Video Production. - 1-2 years of leadership experience is desirable. - Proficiency in video editing, preferably with expertise in Adobe Premiere. - Demonstrated experience in managing and expanding a YouTube channel. - Experience in shooting, producing, and editing is advantageous. - Familiarity with a variety of reporting styles and video creation formats. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Sound news judgment. - Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities. - Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure. - Keen attention to detail and accuracy. - Capability to mentor and guide producers in refining their narratives. - Flexibility to work late nights occasionally as per the news cycle.
