Program Manager( Aerospace)

Role & responsibilities

• Provides organizational leadership support to a cross-functional Team in the delivery of products against various project deliverables to meet customer objectives in a highly technical, fast-paced aerospace environment.
• Develop Operational baseline and control processes relating to work packages negotiated with various programs to include scope clarification & management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and change authorization
• Assess and communicate risks to Leadership and programs; propose aggressive solutions to operational generated problems.
• Deliver products of defined scope, on a specified budget and schedule requirements representing a single point of contact to Project Managers/Programs.
• Manage cross-functional teams in a way that effectively meets program commitments and employee/organizational objectives, taking total ownership for all activities within the project.
• Manages status reporting to include: schedule milestones, estimate to complete and variance analysis reports.
• Serving as the primary point of contact between External and Internal Customers, regarding program work including receiving, reviewing, and prioritizing program requests, coordinating the program scope changes, and providing program updates to the Top Management.
• Manages program activities against set targets, tracks progress against set plan, and manages the program budget and responsible for achieving revenue budget of various customers to maintain top line.
• Conducting readiness audits for launch of new projects or programs and identifying bottlenecks
• Business case analysis, Identification of program risks, provides plans to mitigate those risks, provides periodic reviews/updates on the programs to the Management for the support and successful completion.
• Handling customer RFQ/ RFI and providing quotes and pricing estimations and proposals working with Engineering team.
• Review of Engg. Estimations, identifying capital budgets for the project/ program and appraising the same to top management/ board and getting approvals.

• Knowledge & Critical Skills Reqd.:
• Effective cross-organizational leadership skills, decision making, time management, planning and organization, conflict resolution, and prioritization. Act as a facilitator to enhance communications in the resolution of conflicts and the establishment of priorities to move the organization toward meeting deliverables.
• Experience in executing, operational-oriented fixed price contracts
• Management vision to effectively develop and track meaningful organizational objectives to align performance required to exceed expectations.
• Effective project management knowledge and ability required to plan and manage schedules and budgets for specified project deliverables using financial skills including budgeting and performance tracking (variances and estimate to complete).
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization (verbal, written, and oral presentation).
• Excellent communications skills especially with respect to working with customers. Expertise in handling Projects including Greenfield Project
• Working experience on SAP- PP & MMKnowledge of Aerospace quality standards, AS 9100, Nadcap and customer requirements
