Professor - History

The School of Liberal Education at FLAME University is known for its interdisciplinary approach to research and teaching, with recognized strengths in Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, Economics, Philosophy, Literary and Cultural Studies, as well as Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Humanities. As a Professor in History, you will be expected to engage in high-quality, independent research while collaborating with existing faculty members to cultivate a vibrant interdisciplinary academic community focused on cutting-edge research and innovation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in areas such as Medieval and/or Early Modern South Asian History, Ancient South Asian History, and History of South Asia and the World. Responsibilities for this position include teaching, student advising, participation in faculty colloquia, and academic administration. A Ph.D. (completed or nearing submission) is a requirement for this role. Additionally, the successful applicant will be tasked with translating research findings into evidence-based practices, programs, and policies, and will be committed to excellence in teaching by employing creative pedagogies that promote inclusive and diverse learning environments.
