Production Supervisor / Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Establish daily weekly and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
2. Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
3. Guide and coach employees, monitoring their productivity
4. Oversee safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
5. Perform verification of production output according to specifications
6. Prepare reports on performance and progress and present them to senior managers
7. Cutting tool life monitoring and should take proper action to reduce the consumption cost and cycle time.
8. Detect issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
9. Consult new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
10. Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
11. Constructing and proving CNC programmes for new components.
12. Interaction with the engineering team and assist in the design and commissioning of fixtures and tooling necessary for machining new components.
13. Training and development of operators to ensure proper execution of the defined processes.
14. Assist with the management and planning of production / workload in accordance with business priorities.
15. Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to achieve cost, quality and delivery objectives.
16. A good knowledge of appropriate cutting data for machining a variety of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, high alloy steel etc.,

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of the equipment within a machine shop, experience of manufacturing precision parts to tight tolerances on CNC lathes and VMC ,HMC machines.

2.     The ability to program both driven Y, C axis lathes and more essentially horizontal and vertical milling machine centers.

3.     Exposure to CNC machine such as VMC, Lathe, SPM ,HMC, HBM, VTL & Drilling Machines etc,

4.     Implementing the CNC programming techniques, production fixturing and production tooling design

5.     Ideally have experience of both turning and milling on CNC machines and demonstrate hands on capability.

6.     Excellent communication skills and a proactive team player

7.     Strong supervisory, people management, motivational and training skills

8.     Knowledge and understanding of Fanuc , Mazak,Tosnuc- control systems

9.     Ability to set and operate CNC machines as required.

10.   Ability to provide solutions to decrease cycle times and overcome day to day machining issues.

11.   Flexibility and ability to adapt to change

12.   Ability to understand interpret engineering drawings

13.   Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment

14.   Maintain a safe working environment ensuring all company procedures are followed.
