Position Description

Department: Production - Shift Incharge ( SRM Profiles)

Job Purpose:

The incumbent will be responsible for supervising and managing all production activities of the section rolling mill during the assigned shift. This includes achieving production targets, ensuring quality standards, coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, and managing manpower efficiently to produce high-quality rolled profiles (angles, channels, beams, flats, etc.) as per schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all production activities during the assigned shift, ensuring adherence to production schedules and targets.
• Supervise, guide, and motivate a team of production personnel, providing support and direction to ensure optimal performance.
• Enforce quality control procedures and ensure that products meet established standards.
• Prioritize and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks that may arise during the shift, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize production efficiency.
• Track production metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, shift activities, and any incidents or issues that occur.
• Effectively communicate with other shifts, departments, and management regarding production status, issues, and any necessary information.
• Participate in the training and development of team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Ensure proper care and maintenance of production equipment, coordinating with maintenance personnel when necessary.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering
• Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on experience in experience in section rolling mills, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/shift incharge role.
