Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on buyer delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with merchandising, cutting, sewing, finishing, and packing departments.
  • Plan machine loading as per capacity and style complexity.
  • Maintain Time & Action (T&A) calendar for each order.
  • Monitor production progress against plan and highlight any delays.
  • Analyze capacity availability and allocate manpower accordingly.
  • Coordinate with stores and purchase teams for fabric and trims readiness.
  • Ensure all materials and approvals are available before production start.
  • Track line efficiency, productivity, and WIP (Work In Progress).
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Communicate daily production status to management.
  • Support management in achieving monthly production and delivery targets.
  • Maintain and update production-related MIS and reports.
  • Review daily output and take corrective measures for deviations.
  • Work closely with QA and merchandising teams to solve production issues.
  • Ensure smooth flow of production across departments.
  • Follow lean manufacturing practices and process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance.
  • Attend production review meetings and present status reports.
  • Support the team in achieving operational excellence and on-time delivery.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing process (cutting to packing).
  • Good understanding of capacity planning and production scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP, or planning tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills.
  • Team handling and leadership capability.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement methods.

Qualification:

  • Diploma / Degree in Textile, Garment Technology, Industrial Engineering, or Production Management.
  • Preferred: Certification or training in Production Planning or Lean Techniques.

Location:

  • Pudupakkam - Chennai

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
