Job Description

Role & responsibilities : Production Planning & Control Develop and implement production schedules. Optimize material flow, manage WIP (Work-In-Progress), and ensure on-time delivery. Execute capacity planning and adjust schedules. Material & Inventory Management Lead material planning initiatives to minimize stock-outs and overstock situations. Maintain and monitor raw material balances, inventory levels, and consumption reports. Implement safety stock policies for critical components to avoid disruptions. Process Improvement & Cost Control Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste. Identify cost-saving opportunities through better resource allocation and process optimization. Coordination & Cross-Functional Alignment Collaborate with procurement, QC, logistics, marketing, and dispatch teams for seamless production flow. Ensure timely coordination for dispatch and order closure. Leadership & Team Management Supervise and mentor a cross-functional team of planners, operators, and production controllers. Motivate the team, resolve conflicts, and build a culture of ownership and accountability. Preferred candidate profile : B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering (MBA in Operations preferred) 5 to 10 years of experience in PPC/Production Operations in a steel fabrication or engineering manufacturing company Excellent planning, communication, and leadership skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight delivery schedules
