Production Merchandiser

ob Purpose:

To oversee the end-to-end execution of production for home textile orders (towels, table linen, napkins, runners, cushions, etc.) from order confirmation to final shipment. The role requires strong expertise in testing protocols, buyer quality standards, and inspection coordination for US, UK, and European retail customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Execution & Coordination

• Review buyer tech packs, purchase orders, and specifications to ensure clarity before initiating production.
• Prepare and follow up on Time and Action (T&A) calendars to track all pre-production and production milestones.
• Coordinate between design, sourcing, cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Ensure all trims, labels, and packaging materials are received and approved before bulk production.

2. Quality & Testing

• Ensure all raw materials, fabrics, and trims are tested and meet buyer-specific protocols (AATCC, ISO, BS EN standards).
• Coordinate with internal QA and third-party labs for colour fastness, shrinkage, and physical property testing.
• Review and approve lab reports, ensuring compliance with buyer standards of US, UK & Europe
• Implement corrective actions in case of test failures and monitor process improvements.

3. Buyer Communication & Inspections

• Act as the key contact for buyer QA, merchandisers, and third-party inspection agencies (Bureau Veritas, SGS, Intertek, etc.).
• Schedule and coordinate inline and final inspections as per buyer protocols.
• Ensure pre-final inspection readiness and manage documentation (inspection booking forms, pre-final photos, packing list, carton markings).
• Address non-conformances and provide corrective actions with traceability records.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of approvals, test reports, shipment samples, and inspection reports.
• Ensure all AQL and inspection standards are met as per buyer guidelines.
• Collaborate with the compliance and production team to align with factory certifications (GOTS, OCS, BCI, Oeko-Tex).

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of testing standards and protocols for home textiles (AATCC, ISO, REACH, etc.).
• Experience in handling buyer quality audits and final inspections for major US/UK/EU retailers.
• Sound knowledge of fabric construction, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes.
• Strong coordination, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple orders simultaneously and meet strict delivery timelines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, email correspondence, and ERP/WFX systems preferred.

Educational Qualification:

• Graduate in Textile Technology or equivalent.
• Additional certifications in quality management or testing protocols will be an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
