Key Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight:Managing all aspects of the sulfuric acid production process, including sulfur burning, SO2 conversion, SO3 absorption, and acid concentration.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance:Enforcing strict safety protocols, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and promoting a culture of safety within the plant.
• Resource Management:Optimizing the use of raw materials, energy, and other resources to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
• Personnel Management:Supervising, training, and motivating production staff, including operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
• Quality Control:Ensuring that the produced sulfuric acid meets the required quality standards through regular monitoring and analysis.
• Process Optimization:Identifying opportunities for process improvements, implementing new technologies, and enhancing overall plant performance.
• Production Planning:Developing and implementing production schedules to meet customer demands and achieve production targets.
• Reporting and Documentation:Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper documentation of plant operations.
• Emergency Response:Developing and implementing emergency response plans, managing plant incidents, and coordinating with relevant departments in case of emergencies.
• Budget Management:Participating in budget preparation and cost control activities related to production.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education:A bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering is typically required.
• Experience:Extensive experience in the sulfuric acid or chemical industry, including experience in plant management or a similar role.
• Technical Knowledge:Strong understanding of chemical process engineering principles, unit operations, and sulfuric acid production processes.
• Management Skills:Proven ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and motivate employees.
• Communication Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with staff, management, and other stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve production issues.
• Safety Awareness:Thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to sulfuric acid production.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations:Understanding of OSHA PSM (Process Safety Management) and other relevant regulations is crucial.
