Job Description

Excellent Technical Knowledge of Laminations Punching Blanking / Compound Press tools / Progressive Tools / Notching tools maintenance (Re-sharpening & Repairs) Repair & Maintenance of Larger Size Progressive tools with Auto Stacking technology made by Carbide and ASP Tool Steels Repairs & Trouble Shooting of Running Progressive tools, Gang Tools & Die casting tools knowledge for troubleshooting & Cutting Elements Conversion to different models on same die set Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems Key Responsibilities Responsible for Servicing of all types of Stamping Press Tools, Progressive Tools, Notching Tools, Die Casting Dies etc., Monitoring of tool lifes time to time without effecting to production plans. Monitoring & Intimation of Life availability of Tools to Marketing, Production & HOD for tools refurbishment or new tools planning. Spares management & reviewing for refurbishment requirements for life in completion tools. To co-ordinate with Quality, Maintenance and PPC team on day-to-day tool service section requirements & ensure tools availability. Repair activities for trouble tools, free production in press shop by arrange tools in time. Perform the root cause analysis and resolve problems in tools and fixtures. The Manages employees through training and Multi skills development, resolving employee issues through problem resolution. Ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet deadlines. Implementation of ISO 9001, EMS systems Implementation of best practices, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance. Solve production complaints and take corrective action on issues to avoid reoccurrence. Follow up of Press tools / Progressive tools / Die casting tools trials. Keeping regular reviews with production team on Daily / Weekly & Monthly production targets fulfilling through workload distribution in servicing section. To monitor the tool performance and maintain the tool history records up to date. Shall give guidance to servicing persons and ensure servicing activity as per SOP. Planning for achieve the department goals and objectives as per set targets. To discusses with Tool development & Tool Room teams for new & existing tool improvements / Productivity Improvements with innovative ideas and Kaizen etc Tool Drawings Study / Engineering Drawings Interpretation & Exposure on GD&T Qualifications, Experience Mandatory for the Role - Engineering Graduate Mechanical with 10+ Years of experience - Diploma –Mechanical with 15+ years of experience Desired for the Role. - Work experience from reputed organization on Laminations Punching Press tools/Die cast tools servicing.
