Job Description

Required Technical Skill : Any steel Melting Experience Induction furnace / EOF/Arc furnace/ LRF Knowledge in Material Analysis through Spectro & Calibration Knowledge in Heat treatment like Annealing Normalizing, Quenching & Tempering Basic Knowledge about metallic elements Basic knowledge in Analyzing method in Micro / XRF Knowledge in Mechanical Testing Like Tensile / Yield / Elongation etc. & UTM Equipments Calibration Language Known : Tamil/English Must / Hindi + Job Description / Responsibilities 1. Production / Quality Planning & Control Develop and implement Production / Quality control protocols specific to Steel Foundry /Steel Plant. Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IS ASTM, BS DIN. Etc and customer-specific norms. Establish Production / Quality KPIs and track performance through real-time monitoring systems. 2. Raw Material Quality Monitoring Inspect and approve raw materials like Mild Steels, stainless steel, Ingots, or sponge iron before use through Spectro / any other method Liaise with procurement and vendors to ensure supply consistency and quality. 3. Process Quality Control Monitor and optimize each stage of the manufacturing process: Melting /EOF/LRF Heat treatment Metallurgical Analysis-Micro Ensure uniform mechanical properties such as yield strength, tensile strength & elongation, 4. Testing & Documentation Oversee Production Targets, Energy efficiency / physical, mechanical, and chemical testing Maintain detailed reports, calibration records, and certificates (TCs/MTCs). 5. Quality Audits & Compliance Prepare and conduct internal audits and support external audits (BIS, ISO, customer audits). Maintain compliance with Standard requirements and handle correspondence for certification renewals. 6. Team & Training Lead a team of Quality/ Production Engineers, lab technicians, and NDT personnel. Conduct training programs for production staff on quality standards and best practices. 7. Customer Support & Complaint Handling Investigate customer complaints and initiate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA). Provide technical support and documentation to clients as required.
