Production Manager

As the Manager of Production Line at our India plant for Legacy panels, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production of legacy panels, BC manning, and staffing. Your responsibilities will include controlling the production flow, material flow, and inventory to achieve cost and quality targets. You will be responsible for meeting the production output as planned by the planning team and ensuring compliance with various international standards like ISO, VDA 6.3, and APQP for wind. In this role, you will supervise all production operations such as machining, processing, and assembly. You will also facilitate customer visits, host them during production tours, and handle audits. It will be your responsibility to ensure RCA for quality issues, work on the improvement of First Right Yield, monitor quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all orders to meet customer commitments, and oversee all staff scheduling. People management will be a key aspect of your role as you lead a team of Floor managers and supervisors to mold a strong team. You will develop training programs for the BCs, ensure constant staff upgrades, and work closely with the Production Engineering, Planning, and Logistic team to deliver output. You will need to provide a positive, motivating example for employees and organize workflow according to workload to meet delivery schedules. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing extended support to the project management team for new product development. You will interact effectively with the management and the project team, informing and updating them. Financial control will also be under your purview as you manage production costs, improve production efficiency, ensure accurate records are maintained in the WIP, and work on the cost of poor quality due to defects in the production process.
