HMW Metal Works Pvt Ltd is an ISO 9001:2015 certified manufacturer of aluminium alloys, copper alloys and other non-ferrous items, supplying to BHEL and other reputed engineering and power-sector companies for over 25 years. Our units in Agra include a foundry equipped with gravity die casting machines and a machining unit equipped with VMCs, CNC lathes, conventional machines, and presses. We design and manufacture our dies and tooling in-house using SolidWorks and SolidCAM.

Role Overview

Shop Floor / Production Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day machining operations on the shop floor
• Record, track, and maintain accurate production data and reports
• Allocate manpower and machine resources based on production schedules and order timelines
• Design and supervise any tools / fixtures required for machining an item
• Ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of orders
• Interpret 2D technical drawings to guide machining teams on dimensions, tolerances, and quality requirements
• Coordinate with planning and quality teams for seamless operations
• Monitor productivity, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards
• Provide daily/weekly production reports to senior management

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or related field
• 5+ years of experience in production management (preferably in machining/CNC shop floors)
• Strong ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Ability to handle pressure and manage timelines effectively

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of CNC/VMC operations and machining processes
• Knowledge of tools and fixtures required for production of items
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and productivity improvement methods
