Production Manager - Foam Cutting Division

Job Summary:

The Production Manager Foam Cutting Department is responsible for overseeing all production activities related to foam cutting operations. This includes managing personnel, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining quality standards, optimizing machine utilization, and enforcing safety protocols. The ideal candidate has a strong background in foam production or a similar manufacturing environment and possesses excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily production schedules for foam cutting operations.
• Supervise and lead foam cutting operators and technicians to meet production goals.
• Monitor machine performance, ensuring equipment is running efficiently and safely.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize downtime.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards; coordinate with the quality control team for inspections and corrective actions.
• Track production metrics such as yield, output, waste, and downtime; implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Train and develop staff on machine operation, safety practices, and quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of production volumes, material usage, and labor.
• Optimize material usage to reduce waste and control costs.
• Coordinate with supply chain/logistics for raw material availability and inventory control.
• Enforce health and safety guidelines and conduct risk assessments where necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Min 10 years of experience in a manufacturing/production role, preferably in foam or flexible materials.
• Strong understanding of foam cutting technologies (Block Cutter, Circular Machine, Vertical cutting Machine, etc.).
• Proven experience in team leadership and managing production floor personnel.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in production management software and MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
