Job Description: Production Incharge (Chemical & Fertilizer)

The Production Incharge is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the chemical and fertilizer manufacturing unit. This role oversees daily production schedules, manages plant personnel, and ensures product quality meets strict regulatory and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Safety and Environmental Compliance

• Enforce Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to and enforce all (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies, including proper use of , handling of hazardous materials, and emergency response procedures.
• Process Safety Management (PSM): Monitor critical safety parameters and ensure compliance with regulations relevant to chemical processing (e.g., maintaining equipment integrity, following procedures).
• Incident Management: Lead immediate response to spills, leaks, or accidents. Conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for all safety and environmental incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Waste Management: Oversee the proper handling, labeling, and disposal of chemical and hazardous waste according to local and national regulations.

2. Production Operations and Efficiency

• Scheduling & Execution: Translate master production schedules into daily shift plans. Coordinate resource allocation (raw materials, utilities, labor) to maximize (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and meet production targets.
• Process Control: Monitor critical operating parameters (temperature, pressure, flow, or control panels. Identify and resolve process deviations promptly to prevent batch loss or equipment damage.
• Downtime Minimization: Coordinate closely with the Maintenance department to schedule preventative maintenance and swiftly manage equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimum interruption to production.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate, real-time records of production logs, process deviations, material consumption, and final yield reports.

3. Quality Assurance (QA/QC)

• Quality Control: Oversee in-process sampling and testing. Ensure final fertilizer products meet specific composition, moisture, and particle size standards.
• Batch Traceability: Ensure every batch produced is fully traceable, documenting all raw material lot numbers and process parameters.
• SOP Adherence: Train and audit personnel on the strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mixing, reaction, drying, and packaging.

4. Team Leadership and Development

• Supervise, motivate, and manage the performance of shift supervisors and plant operators.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and on-the-job training (OJT) to improve operator proficiency in technical and safety procedures.
• Manage shift rotations, overtime, and annual leave schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage at all times.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in a continuous or batch processing manufacturing environment, preferably in Chemicals, Fertilizers, Petrochemicals, or Pharmaceuticals, with at least 10 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in Chelated Micronutrient Manufacturing
• Experience in Amino Acid / Protein Hydrolysate Manufacturing

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of chemical handling, process controls, mass and energy balance, and material safety .

• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of industrial safety standards (e.g., OSHA, local regulations) and quality management systems.
• Soft Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams, strong communication skills, and excellent problem-solving capabilities under pressure.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
