1. Lead and oversee end-to-end production operations across mechanical and electrical assembly lines.
2. Develop production strategies to meet organizational goals on output, quality, cost, and delivery.
3. Plan and allocate resources (manpower, materials) for maximum efficiency.
4. Drive productivity improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization initiatives.
5. Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety norms, and regulatory compliance.
6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Design/Engineering) for smooth operations.
7. Review production schedules, capacity plans, and resolve bottlenecks.
8. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) efficiency, downtime, yield, rework, and customer delivery timelines.
9. Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
10. Implement best practices in process optimisation, automation, and technology adoption.
11. Drive training, mentoring, and development of supervisors, engineers, and shop-floor teams.
12. Prepare and present production performance reports to senior management.
13. Manage budgets, cost controls, and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
14. Support new product introductions (NPI) and ensure smooth scale-up to mass production.
1. Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
2. 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing/assembly operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
3. Proven expertise in managing large-scale production teams, assembly lines, and multi-shift operations.
4. Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, capacity planning, and resource optimization.
5. Experience in implementing lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar process excellence methodologies.
6. Strategic thinker with the ability to balance short-term targets and long-term goals.
7. Excellent leadership and people management skills to lead diverse teams.
8. Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational excellence.
9. Ability to lead change management initiatives and adopt digital/automation solutions.
10. Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
11. High adaptability and decision-making skills under dynamic market/production conditions.
12. Commitment to workplace safety, compliance, and ethical standards.
