Production Head

Position Overview

The Production Head is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all production activities to achieve organizational goals related to output, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. The role requires leadership in managing teams, optimizing resources, ensuring compliance with standards, and driving continuous improvements in the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer requirements and delivery deadlines.
• Manage and supervise production staff including floor supervisors, setters, operators, and helpers.
• Ensure machines, manpower, and materials are utilized effectively.
• Monitor daily production performance and implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, and Stores to ensure smooth workflow.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other productivity improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
• Identify training needs and build team capability on the shop floor.
• Monitor and control production costs to achieve budget targets.
• Analyze data and prepare production reports for management review.
• Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and resource utilization.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

  Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering, BE.

• Experience:

  810 years in manufacturing, with at least 4–5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, process control, and resource management.
• Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and other improvement methodologies.
• Good understanding of quality systems (ISO, customer standards).
• Leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
