Position Overview The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting overall financial health of the manufacturing unit. The role requires strong knowledge of GST, TDS, costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing-related financial processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Accounting & Bookkeeping Maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally/ERP. Handle daily entries: sales, purchase, expenses, bank, journal, and payment/receipt vouchers. Timely reconciliation of bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts. 2. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual return if applicable). Manage input tax credit (ITC) reconciliation and resolve mismatches. Handle TDS calculations, payments, and quarterly returns. Support statutory audits, internal audits, and GST departmental queries. 3. Manufacturing Accounting Maintain stock registers and oversee raw material, WIP, and finished goods accounting. Coordinate with production and stores for daily stock movement updates. Support BOM costing, product costing, and variance analysis. Track machine-wise/department-wise consumption and wastage. 4. Payroll & HR Coordination Compile attendance data and coordinate payroll processing. Manage salary entries, PF/ESI payments, and statutory labour compliance documentation (if assigned). 5. MIS & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports including: Cash flow statements Outstanding receivables/payables Inventory valuation reports Cost analysis reports Provide timely financial insights to management for decision-making. 6. Vendor & Customer Coordination Handle vendor payments, credit terms, and account reconciliation. Coordinate with customers for outstanding collections and maintain ageing reports. 7. Audit & Documentation Maintain proper financial documentation and records for audit readiness. Support year-end closing, balance sheet preparation, and audit schedules.
