Production Engineer / Production Executive

As a Production Engineer/Executive at our client in the Automotive Industry located in Aurangabad, your role involves: - Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities as per the production schedule. - Monitor process parameters for optimum utilization of manpower, material, and machines. - Ensure adherence to quality standards and process controls during production. - Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores departments for smooth workflow. - Maintain production records, downtime analysis, and shift performance reports. - Identify and implement process improvements and productivity enhancement initiatives (DSI / Kaizen). - Ensure compliance with 5S, Safety, and IATF 16949 requirements on the shop floor. - Monitor rejection and rework, taking corrective & preventive actions (CAPA). - Train and guide operators and contract manpower for skill improvement and work discipline. - Coordinate for new product trials, tool changes, and engineering changes with D&D and Quality. Your key skills and competencies include: - Good understanding of automotive lighting assembly processes such as lens fitting, housing assembly, testing, sealing, and packing. - Strong knowledge of line balancing, takt time, and production planning. - Proficient in problem-solving techniques like root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.). - Hands-on experience in IATF documentation, SPC, and process validation. - Excellent communication and team management skills. Qualifications & Experience required: - Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Automobile, or Production Engineering. - Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive lighting industry, preferably from companies like Minda, Lumax, Fiem, or equivalent Tier-1 suppliers. Your performance will be measured based on the following Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Achievement of daily & monthly production targets. - Rejection percentage within defined limits. - Improvement in OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). - Adherence to production schedule & delivery commitment. - Safety compliance and maintaining a zero accident record.
