Position: Production Engineer / Executive

Location: Aurangabad

Key Responsibilities:

 Plan, organize, and supervise daily production activities as per the production schedule.

 Monitor process parameters and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, material, and machines.

 Ensure adherence to quality standards and process controls during production.

 Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores departments for smooth workflow.

 Maintain production records, downtime analysis, and shift performance reports.

 Identify and implement process improvements and productivity enhancement initiatives (DSI / Kaizen).

 Ensure compliance with 5S, Safety, and IATF 16949 requirements on the shop floor.

 Monitor rejection, rework, and take corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

 Train and guide operators and contract manpower for skill improvement and work discipline.

 Coordinate for new product trials, tool changes, and engineering changes with D&D and Quality

Key Skills & Competencies:

 Good understanding of automotive lighting assembly processes (e.g., lens fitting, housing assembly, testing, sealing, packing).

 Strong knowledge of line balancing, takt time, and production planning.

 Problem-solving and root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.).

 Hands-on experience in IATF documentation, SPC, and process validation.

 Excellent communication and team management skills.

Qualification & Experience:

 Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Automobile, or Production Engineering.

 Experience: 5–7 years in the automotive lighting industry, preferably from companies like Minda, Lumax, Fiem, or equivalent Tier-1 suppliers.

Performance Indicators (KPI):

 Achievement of daily & monthly production targets.

 Rejection percentage within defined limits.

 OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement.

 Adherence to production schedule & delivery commitment.

 Safety compliance and zero accident record.
