Production Engineer

• Monitor and control production parameters to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Ensure that all production operations are carried out in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure that machinery and equipment are functioning optimally.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with the R&D and quality control teams to develop and optimize production processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Work closely with production staff, providing technical support and guidance.
• Train and mentor operators on best practices and operational procedures.
• Ensure effective communication between production shifts and departments.
• Monitor raw material usage and ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Maintain accurate production records, including daily output, material usage, and downtime logs.
• Prepare and present production reports to management on a regular basis.
• Participate in Kaizen activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the production line.
• Implement low-cost automation solutions to improve productivity.

Skill Set Requirements

• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Data analysis and interpretation skills to monitor production performance and identify trends.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
